Gary Rothschild is Chief Executive Officer of Perseus. In 2012, he founded Merx Aviation in partnership with Apollo and served as its CEO, building the business into a global full-service aircraft leasing platform.
As Partner and Head of Aviation Finance at Apollo, Mr. Rothschild led the acquisition of PK AirFinance, the leading aviation alternative lender, from GECAS. Since acquisition, he has concurrently served as CEO of PK alongside his leadership of the Apollo aircraft leasing platforms.
Previously, Mr. Rothschild was a Managing Director in Citi’s Structured Finance group, where he advised on transactions across the energy and transportation sectors and built and managed the firm’s aircraft trading and leasing platform.
Mr. Rothschild holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law.
